BIOGRAPHY

Jorge Daniel Ruiz Peña is an oboist, saxophonist, arranger and composer born in Santiago de Cuba. He began his oboe studies in his hometown at the Esteban Salas Conservatory, graduating with a Bachelor's degree at the University of the Arts in Havana. He currently completed his Master's degree in oboe at Fontys Conservatory in the Netherlands in and as a freelancer he is active in the music industry. He is a member of Aires tropicales Quintet, substitute oboist of Zuid Nederland Philharmonie, member of Netflix NL and oboe teacher at CKE in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. 
His versatility allows him to play with great fluency in many musical genres and he has an incredible energy when playing and sharing with colleagues in music.
